What are BenCap talks?

'BenCap Talks' are a showcase for BCC group leaders presenting great, well-formed ideas in under 18 minutes.

How to start a movement? All it takes is for you to choose!

If you really care about starting a movement, then have the courage to be different and show others how to be the source for creating the change they desire. And when you find a lone nut doing something great, have the guts to be the first one to stand up and join in.

A movement requires a vision that’s inclusive, collaborative, and has an orientation toward creating different possibilities. Most of all, a movement requires people committed to change.

Choose topics for your Workshops or BenCap Talks

Here are a few things to consider when creating your topics:

Ask different questions - When creating topics for your workshop or for BC Talks, you could choose to highlight ideas that most people haven't thought about before. The message needs to be simple and it also has to be inspirational to the audience. What would it take for the audience to think at the end “I didn’t know that, and I’m glad I do now” or "what else is possible?" for example.

Don’t aim to reinforce world views - What new ideas are being discussed and created in your industry? What critical issues are big thinkers and innovators talking about in your town and in the world? When you are looking for a theme or a subject, ask; “What is going to create the greatest possibility here for everyone who comes to this workshop or session?” 

Think global - Think about how you can reflect Benevolent Capitalism message outward to the world. What could the rest of the world learn from your personal insight? Do you have something to offer the world that you have not been willing to offer?
